A native Ohioan, Janet graduated from Lorain High School and Balwin-Wallace College.
She has taught in three Ohio school systems and now lives in Vermillion, Ohio.
Janet has been President of the Worthington Area Art League and sereved on the board of that organization.
She is a member of Central Ohio Watercolor Society, Central Ohio Plein Air, and Arts Guild of Vermillion.
While teaching art at Reynoldsburg High School in 1974, Janet took her first watercolor class from Leland McClelland
Soon watercolor became Janet's medium of choice.
She has taken classes and workshops from many watercolorist in Columbus and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Each artist has something different to offer, and by studying many technique, Janet has developed her own bright, crisp style.
As a freelance artist, Janet has been commissioned to paint historical buildings, businesses, boats, cars, florals, people, and pets.
Her painting of the Ohio Bicentennial Barns appeared on 19 phonebook covers around the state.
Her painting of the Ohio State Capital was featured on the 2003 holiday card for the Governor's staff.
Commissions include Velvet Ice Cream's "Ye Olde Mill", which appeared on their cards and packaging,
the Burton Morgan Center at Dennison University and the Granville Inn.
